We provide this video in honor of award-winning photojournalist Chris Hondros, our dear friend and colleague who died April 20, 2011, while covering conflict in Libya. Our hope is that you will find comfort in it, as did we.
The Chris Hondros Fund
Chris’s fiancée, Christina Piaia, has announced the formation of The Chris Hondros Fund, which will encourage and assist aspiring photojournalists, aid journalists in conflict zones and raise awareness of issues surrounding their work.

“Chris devoted his life to bringing the hardships of conflicts from Kosovo to Liberia to Afghanistan to Iraq into the public eye,” said Ms. Piaia. “We are setting up this fund to honor Chris’ memory, protect his colleagues in war-torn areas, and help aspiring journalists and photographers cover these events.”
