Boxers come in three colors:
Fawn (brown) Brindle (Fawn with black stripes) White
Although white boxers are not currently allowed in conformation shows, they are an integral part of the breed and very common in breedings of "flashy" boxers. Many of them have brindle or fawn ears or eye spots, so they are actually technically "flashy brindles" or "flashy fawns"! White boxers are neither rare nor should they be more expensive than fawns or brindles. Gentry Boxers is White Boxer Friendly and we love our white babies. Often breeders lament that our best conformation potential puppy is white! We hope that someday the American Boxer Club will allow them in our breeding programs and into the conformation ring. Meanwhile, they make fantastic pets, therapy dogs, performance dogs, and dance partners!
Information on Gentry Boxers: Gentry Boxers was established in 1971 and has been raising beautiful boxers for families, show and performance since that time. We are not Back Yard Breeders, so we have only had 3 litters in the past 10 years. Our boxers are heavily health screened for healthy hearts, eyes, hips, elbows, spines, and thyroids. We run genome screens for Degenerative Myelopathy and ARVC and offer an eight year limited health guarantee on our puppies.
Gentry Boxers tend to be long-lived and mature very slowly as a result. Our puppies are raised holistically on raw diet, energy supports, and they are vaccinated with homeopathic nosodes to prevent the side effects common with traditional vaccinations. When they leave our nursery, they have been paper-trained and obedience training has been started using positive reinforcement (clicker) techniques.
Gentry puppies enjoy an early-life stimulation protocol called Bio-Stim, which can only be done up through 16 days of age. Bio-Stim is known to level out temperaments, make training easier, and even improve immune systems.
We also expose our puppies to a large variety of stimuli in a safe environment - umbrellas, hats, wigs, coats, and we run a desensitizing loop every day exposing them to common noises such as doorbells, babies crying, and even snowblowers. This helps prevent fear reactions when they hear these noises later in life.
Our primary purpose in broadcasting is to educate the public and assist young breeders with ethical role modeling. We love our dogs, our clients, and we are available to mentor other dog breeders. We also appreciate the love, help and support that we receive through this broadcast!
