The conference is jointly… Online Community of Bangladesh proudly presents 1st Bangladesh Online Community Conference, 2010 (BOCC 2010) on 26th February, 2010 from 12 am to 10 pm at the Public Library Auditorium, Shahabag, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The conference is jointly organized by The Bengali Times (www.thebengalitimes.com the first online weekly Bengali news paper in Canada with 50,000 weekly readers) and The Bangla web (www.thebanglaweb.com a web portal for everyday needs of all Bangladeshi’s around the world-will be lunch soon).

An organizing committee with representative from 100+ ‘online’ organizations, active ‘online’ users and a professional event management company M/S PRISM will execute the event.

Purposes of BOCC 2010 are to unite all ‘online’ users around the world to come together and have a common voice and participate, share ideas and enjoy all day long with various activities and programs that includes all day Pictures Exhibition, Audience Activities, Seminar, Discussion, online users newly published Books and Audio CDs Inauguration and Cultural Shows

This all day event will be broadcasted LIVE (audio and video) ‘online’ and ‘online’ users around the world will enjoy the event and also they can participate in the program through ‘online’ interaction.

This event will have ‘No Admission fees’ and open to all spheres of public. The event will be staged at one of the most prestigious venue in Bangladesh which is located at very convenient location. Also around this venue there will be many other socio-cultural activities on that day which includes Ekushe Boimela, programs in Charukala Institutes, Public Library Auditorium and TSC etc.

We anticipate 4000-5000 people will attend this great event at the venue and thousands and thousands more will be with us online.

Among the invitees for inauguration ceremony are Chief Guest Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid (Honourable Education Minister), Special Guest Mr. Golam Sarwar ( Editor, Daily Samakal) and chair will be Mr. Mustafa Jabbar (Chief Executive, Anondo Computer and Bijoy Digital) and invitees for seminar session are Chief Guest Engr. Mr. Yafes Osman ( Honourable Science and ICT Ministry), Special Guest is Mr. Motiur Rahman Choudhury ( chief Editor, Daily Manobjomin) and Chair will be Prof. Mr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury. Also journalists, writers, media personals, socio-cultural icons and organization leaders will be invitees.
