This is a view inside my bluebird house in west central New Jersey 2014.
UPDATE on May 13 2014: The bluebirds built the nest in the third week of April 2014, but the eggs did not hatch in early May as expected. The female bluebird is gone, but the male is still hanging around the nest.
I removed the eggs since they are past the normal incubation period and obviously are not going to hatch, especially since the female has abandoned the eggs.
I expect a new pair of bluebirds will take up residence shortly and start a new brood. I typically get two broods a year out of this birdhouse, so there is still time for another pair to raise a brood.
Enjoy the birds!
