This is a live stream of Blanche Belle Reve Dubois and her puppies. Watch the beautiful English Bulldog puppies grow.
Blanche Belle Reve DuBois was born 4 years ago near Birmingham, Alabama. She is a big Georgia Bulldogs fan, but since moving with her family to Oregon and living about 1 mile from the famed Autzen Stadium she is a rabid Oregon Ducks fan. A wonderful dog with a very sweet disposition, her humans thought she would make a great mother. Her puppies were born almost a week early on Sunday January 11th by cesearan section. There were 5 puppies in the litter, only three were viable. The puppies can be identified as follows - the brown one is Loretta, the white with brown arond both eyes is Tammy, and the white with brown around one eye is Patsy. Mom and the puppies are all doing well and do what new puppies and moms do; eat, sleep, and go to the bathroom.
19 January 2009 - Blanche is doing well, sometimes she looks a little tired but she is being a great mom. The puppies are now 1 week and 1 day old and it looks as if they are just beginning to open their eyes. The "puppy cam" has really been a blessing for us to be able to watch Blanche and the puppies while we are away t work or just out and about. We did have an issue last week, where I noticed something amiss on the camera and rushed home to take care of the situation. So if you are expecting puppies we highly recommend investing in the web-cam and using ustream.
20 January 2009 The puppies seem to grow by leaps and bounds daily. They are eating more at one time and sleeping for longer periods and it seems to be a very deep sleep. "The Twins" Patsy and Tammy are slowly but surely opening their eyes but Loretta doesn't seem to want to face the world just yet. Blanche continues to clean her babies incessantly and does not go too far from their sides for very long. They really area joy to watch.
22 January - so everyone's eyes are open now (some more than others) and the puppies are really motoring around their corral. Blanche goes tomorrow (Friday) to get her sutures out and a bit of a break from the puppies. Each day she seems a little more willing to take her usual seat in the kitchen next to the sink and watch as dinner is cooked. Before the puppies she could always be found sitting in everyone's way in the kitchen waiting for that bit of food to fall on the ground for her, but not so much since the puppies have arrived. She really is a good mama. 30 January - Can you say HUGE!! The puppies are getting so big, but we haven't yet had to increase the size of their living space. Their eyes are all open now and they are beginning to try to stand up and walk. They are definately developing their own personalities. Patsy is the biggest and the most vocal, Tammy is the smallest and tends to get pushed out of the way, and Loretta has the calmest demeanor. Blanche is willing to spend more time away from them now and sometimes I think the look on her face is "I am so done with this". But she soldiers on like a good mama.
2 February - The puppies are feeding like crazy, Blanche is spending less time with the puppies in fact she did not sleep with them at all last night. They will go for there first checkup in a few weeks, and then will be ready for adoption in the next few weeks. So these puppies are for sale, if interested just leave a message on this site. 21 Februry - My How they have grown!! The puppies have spent the last week transitioning from mama's milk to Esiblac mixed with Gerber baby rice, and they love it. Now they are eating puppy chow mized with warm water. They still want mom's milk, but Blanche is spending less and less time with them. They have each other but, they really want a human in the room at all times and tend to whine quite a bit when we leave them alone. They have begun to play with toys, but Blanche "does not play well with others and won't let them have toys when she is around. They are a joy and a challenge, well love them all.
4 March 2009 - Each day I watch with amazement how quickly the puppies grow, and how their individual personalities start to come out. Patsy is a tubby litte thing, that has a hard time climbing up and down things, but she's got spunk, when Blanche comes in to "teach the puppies a lesson" Patsy is the one that likes to sass back at her mom. Loretta is cool, calm, collected and adventurous. SHe was the first one to learn how to climb our of their corral, and the first on to start chewing on things. Tammy is the smallest of the three and has the sweetest disposition. They seem to be fairly well "paper trained", and we are working on getting them trained to go outside. They love running around in the grass. Today is their first full veterinary check-up. We have them up for sale now and aas much as we have fallen in love with them we realize we will have to let them go. 15 March - a sad day for us a happy day for a young lady and her dad. Tammy, has gone to her forever home with Dan and his daughter. It was a very exciting day for all involved, I have not doubt that Tammy; now named "Tug Boat Annie", will get all the care and love that she needs and more. She gets to live on a farm with lots of cows and other animals. In the meantime Loretta and Patsy appeared to be slightly bewildered by the fact that their sister was not right there with them. Blanche spent quite a bit of time scurrying and scratching around, it seemed that she was searching for her missing baby. But now all is well, Patsy and Loretta get to run around the house fairly often and they are tearing up all the flowers in the backyard like good puppies should. We arestill looking for one more really good home.
