Bobby “Baby” Walker is a versatile singer/performer who specializes in “old school” songs of 50′s, 60′s 70′s Rock and Roll, R&B and Motown hits. He performed with the Yonkers based oldies group “Step Back In Time” when they won the 2006 Richard Nader Doo Wop Acappella Competition. He also performed with “Shades of Soul” in 2008 when they took the oldies music convention “Lead East” by storm. He is currently singing with these groups, and the legendary Del-Vikings. After high school Bobby joined the Navy, where he received a regimental citation for excellence in music. When he returned to civilian life he entered the Bronx Community College Conservatory where he studied performance, theory, sight reading and the classics. While there he was involved with a community based program called the Career Opportunities Program, where he taught music for four years. Bobby then re-entered the military where he took the test for the Navel Conservatory of Music. He aced the test, but decided instead to leave the Navy and come back to New York. Bobby frequently performs solo, as well as with bands such as The Barons, Memories, Evolution and Canal Street. Sought after by groups because of his adaptable style, he also has performed with Accapella groups Champaign, Memories of You, Step Back in Time and Shades of Soul.
