Over the last two years, Ustream has had the privilege to work closely with President Elect Obama’s campaign.  We stream speeches, we streamed townhalls, and we even had the honor to stream his victory speech.

History will be made Jan 20th, and you will all be able to watch this LIVE on Ustream.   As always, our interactive chat will be there to make this experience more of a social experience.

Ustream going mainstream….

Most of the world now has seen our beloved Shiba Inu Puppy Cam (maybe the world is a exaggeration, but 10 million people have tuned it).

They been on TV and radio, in magazines and blogs.  The pups were on CNN atleast 20 times. John our other Founder and I even got to be on the Today show live (yes, I was nervous).

Did you hear this? They are also one of the Top 10 Most Viral Videos of 2008, perhaps even the most viral LIVE video of all time.

All of this because a SF family decided to put a puppy nanny cam on their 6 adorable little puppies. Who would have thought!

And now, they even have a song! Enjoy and Happy Holidays..

If you haven’t got enough puppy cam, we have new Shiba Inu puppies born yesterday. Ah, I remember when our other Shiba Inu puppies were that size.

Just joking!  Maybe I’m a little bias.

Can anyone guess where we got the signature from?

Tonight I sat back and watched with amazement one of our nation’s most sacred principles unfold live on Ustream.  Over a million people followed the election on Ustream today- from small election parties, to passionate professional broadcasts.

Whether you agree or not, are red or blue, Democrat or Republican, history was made today and many experienced this through our humble service.  Over the last 2 years, John, Gyula and I have had the opportunity to meet many people and see many things because of Ustream, but tonight, for me, was the most powerful.

Thank you to all who support our service.  We have many major announcements coming over the next few months and we will continue to push the limits of this powerful medium.

One small step..

One giant corporate funded lander!

Our good friends at Spacevidcast are LIVE on the scene in New Mexico for the 2008 Northrop Grumman Lunar Lander Challenge. The LLC will be held October 24-25 at the Las Cruces International Airport in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Two teams are expected to fly during the competition: Armadillo Aerospace and TrueZer0.

Benjamin and CariAnn Higginbotham will be live on site all day giving play by play of the challenge.  From the XPrize site: “The Challenge is designed to accelerate commercial technological developments supporting the birth of a new generation of Lunar Landers capable of ferrying payloads or humans back and forth between lunar orbit and the lunar surface. Such a vehicle would have direct application to NASA’s space exploration goals as well as the personal spaceflight industry, including the Google Lunar X PRIZE competitors. Additionally, the challenge will help industry develop the operational capacity to launch quick turnaround vertical take-off, vertical landing vehicles, which will be of significant use to many facets of the commercial launch procurement market.”

This is the future of space here folks.  With government dollars for NASA expected to continue to shrink, we will be relying more and more on the dollars of corporate America to fund and push the space technological limits.
