Ustream Helpers Two Year Anniversary

Posted on by

twitter_copy

This past week was a special monument for Ustream’s history, as Feb 25 marked the two-year anniversary of the creation of the Ustream Helpers program. For the past two years, a select group of individuals have dedicated their time to providing 24/7 live support to the Ustream community. The group was founded in 2008 with five members, and has since expanded to provide an increasing level of support to Ustream’s growing community. If you have ever received live help from a Ustream helper, please know that this individual is not paid by Ustream. They are a volunteer who took time out of their day to help resolve your issue. It is safe to say that Ustream would not be the place it is today without the outstanding commitment of this elite group. So thank you, from Ustream, to each and every Helper. We appreciate your continued support!

If you need to contact a helper, they can usually be found in Ustream’s live help channel here: http://ustream.tv/channel/help

Obsessed with Ustream and want to become a Helper? The Team is always looking for new recruits, so if you think you would add value to the team, please apply here: http://www.ustream-helpers.com/page.php?13

Ustream Enters Asia Pacific with Softbank Corp. of Japan

Posted on by

In this memorable milestone and moment, I would like to provide the color behind the fundraising announcement.

When we first founded Ustream in the summer of 2006, we believed that Asia was a strategic environment for a service like Ustream to flourish. Since then, we’ve made strategic decisions to partner with DCM, our lead series A investor and strong US/Asia VC firm, and now Softbank Corp., a major mobile carrier and internet conglomerate in Asia, to march toward our vision.

What really excites us is the vision that billions of web and mobile users will go-live and watch-live content on Ustream in Asia.

We’re honored to announce this relationship with Softbank and look forward to working with Softbank.
