Yesterday we hosted very special celebrity guests here at Ustream. Two of the puppies from the famous “Shiba Six,” sisters Ayumi and Autumn, and their human parents, Mr. and Mrs. SFShiba, came to visit our office and received their Webby statuette! The Shiba Inu Puppy Cam became a global phenomenon in late 2008, when over 30 million people tuned in to watch as the puppies grew, played, slept, and ate, spending the equivalent of 800 years watching the puppies. The Shiba Inu Puppy cam is recognized as the most-watched internet video of all time, and was awarded with a Webby earlier this year as a People’s Voice Award Winner in the viral category.
Ayumi and Autumn celebrated the occasion in their own way– with a dog cake from the Ustream team. After the presentation of the award and cake, Ayumi and Autumn put in some playtime from the Ustream office while Shiba fans from around the world watched.
The pups will be one year old on Oct. 7. Seems like just yesterday we were watching them roll around in their little bed biting on each other’s tails and making the most impossibly cute noises. Maybe Mr. and Mrs. SFShiba and Kika will bless us with another litter soon!

Puppy Power! Boing!
Ustream, I want to thank you for from the bottom of my heart for doing this for the SFShiba’s! If anybody deserved this award it is them. I along with many other “shibaholics” really appreciate the kindness and generosity you have shown our gracious “hosts”. The presentaion was spectacular & the doggy cake was really cute! Again, we thank you so much, and I am so proud to have been able to take this journey with the SFShiba’s & all the shibaholic’s. Puppy Power!!

We Shibaholics were hanging on every word and image as we all tuned in for the live cam presentation. Thank you so much for taping it, too, so we can relive the moment over and over again. Thank you every one at Ustream for being so generous to our favorite family, the SFShibas and our little girls, Autumn and Ayumi. This family really deserved this award and ustream also deserved the award they received for hosting this. The cake was super cute, the presentation was awsome and us Shibaholics are so greatful that you all shared it with us. Thank you for putting up with us this past 11 months. If we ever were a pain, you know now that “it’s all about the pups”. A quote we learned for Mr. Feet & Mrs. Shoes. We all have learned much, laughed, cried, and just plain had the time of our lives.
