For April Fool’s Day, starting at 9 a.m. Eastern Time, Josh and Chuck from HowStuffWorks.com will be doing a show about April Fool’s Day. Tune in to hear all about the day, the nature of laughter and other hijinks.

On Wednesday, Apr. 1, join Chef Bud at 1 p.m. Pacific Time as he hosts a special guest chef and teaches viewers how to prepare a signature dish in the picturesque town of Telluride, Colo.

At 10 p.m. PT on Wednesday, tune into “the fastest show on Ustream late night,” Driving Sports TV. The DSTV crew will show off the latest in new cars and automotive performance here.

On Thursday, April 2 at 11 a.m. PT, the Frontline Club will host a lecture with Stephen Grey called “Investigative Journalism at the Sharp End.” Tune in here.

The Rock and Worship Roadshow continues on Thursday starting at 7 p.m. The show launched last month and the diverse line up boasts current GRAMMY® nominee and multi-platinum band MercyMe, Award-winning  and multi-Gold selling male vocalist Jeremy Camp and Hawk  Nelson, as well as new and burgeoning bands Tenth Avenue  North and Addison Road. 100 Hours

Starting on Thursday, April 2 and continuing through Sunday, April 5, Ustream will host the official 100 Hours of Astronomy event, a celebration for the International Year of Astronomy. Red Carpet Premiere of Monsters vs. Aliens on Sunday 10 a.m. Pacific Time!

Tune in on Sunday, March 22 for the live red carpet premiere of Dreamworks Animation’s “Monsters vs. Aliens” movie from Universal City, Calif. The star-studded premiere will feature appearances by Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen, Will Arnett, Hugh Laurie, Rainn Wilson, Kiefer Sutherland, Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, Jack Black, Jason Bateman, will.i.am, Andy Richter, Breckin Meyer, Andy Serkis, Jennette McCurdy, Milly and Becky Rosso and Chloe Moretz.

The movie hits theaters on March 27; “Monsters vs. Aliens” is DreamWorks Animation’s first InTru 3D Movie. A 2D version will also be available.

Iditarod Live from Alaska: Final Day on March 19!

The 37th Annual Iditarod annual dog sled race across the state of Alaska, which started on March 7, is finishing tomorrow — Thursday March 19. The race will broadcast on Ustream here all day from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Pacific Time. The winner is the musher who arrives to Nome, Alaska first and will be awarded $69,000 and a brand new Dodge pick-up truck.

The broadcast is being run by a student broadcasting team from the Bering Strait School District, which has more schools in villages along the Iditarod National Historical Trail than any other school district – including the Iditarod School District!

It’s been a great tech week here at Southby in Austin Texas. And like the seasons, we’re going to see a sea change in the crowds, as the our tech folks make room for the lovely madness that is Music week at South by!

We’ll be broadcasting ALL week as well, and you already know where to watch that.
