The Ustream Viewing Application hit the App Store on the night before
the Presidential Inauguration and by the next morning, iPhone and iPod
Touch owners downloaded it in record numbers. On day one, the Viewing Application
soared to the #1 spot on Apple’s Entertainment section and the #4 spot among all of the thousands of free applications in the App Store with more than 214,000 downloads … and this all happened
in less than 48 hours.
The enthusiasm for the Inauguration of President Barack Obama translated
into a record-breaking day for live streams on Ustream – both online and
on mobile. We received tremendous feedback from the iPhone community
about watching this historic event:

I just want to tell you guys that this APP is kicking major… well, you know. Last night I turned on my stream after watching the Hawk Show. it must have been around 10:30 PM (p.s.t.) and I got flooded with tons of new eyes… a bunch of people signed up on my website… the APP is rocking. They were all in awe watching live video streaming to their phone.

hola, pues yo he estado usando ustream en mi ipod touch y la verdad esta muy padre, ya era hora de que sacaran la aplicacion porque la verdad es que a muchos nos gusta ustream y no podiamos verlo todo el tiempo en la computadora así que esta es una muy buena opcion para los que tienen iphone o ipod touch, muchas gracias a ustream por seguir inovando.

i cant search anymore on the iphone can you please wxplain why? and most of the good cam that were there before are nolonger there. please explain! i would pay for the app if necessary.

I agree with Roh, I can no longer find Jackassworld feed on here. It worked earlier when I downloaded the app but now no more searching or anything…Please Help….I love the app but I want to watch Jackassworld more than anything….Thank you

Just two days ago I got to know about the software through you tube and downloaded it at once! I updated our website and had it on top that they can view our stream if they have an iphone..
It worked great and got a lot of positive response on it…. funny this morning when i was trying to search our stream it can’t find it…. what could be wrong?

I just upgraded and I cannot seem to get any stations that are not “featured.” This is lame and makes the app useless for those of us who do not watch the same channels you like to feature. Ustream should do something similar to the youtube iphone app–so I can browse the ustream (or any) website in Safari then when a ustream embedded video is linked, automatically launch the app with the embedded stream loading when I click on it. If not, at least make all the streams accessible!
I just got the new update, Which claims to have bug fixes, Well, I still see the bigs, Like losing the connection when viewing an archive.
I’m also having problems searching for any live shows.
I hope in the next update these fix that as well as add the ability to fast forward through an archive.
App looks okay but I was disappointed that I could search for existing videos on ustream.tv and watch them. Sometime we miss a show and it’d would great to be able to watch existing recorded shows, stored on ustream.
would have loved to have been one of the thousands but sadly ustream decided to shut out up ipod touch users for reasons I can’t understand. Nothing that I’ve seen in the app would show it doesn’t work on the touch. Oh well
Looks like the new update cuts out the little guys shows like Schmidty’s Tropical Tank. can only search for the most popular shows featured shows. Hopefully this is something that is being worked on.
Yeah I was disappointed to find the app’s update shut out shows that were not featured/popular. Otherwise it’s an awersome app!

OMG, i updated my app, and now i cant watch my own live cam because i upgraded!? This sucks!
I tried to downgrade it.. but it didnt work. PLEASE FIX THIS, SO WE CAN WATCH WHAT EVER WE WANT TO! NOT ONLY THE FEAUTERED AND POPULAR ONES!!

There’s no point of releasing an app only for popular or featured streams. If the guys had really took off the non popular or featured streams to show up why put a search feature? There are less than a hundred popular and featured streams… Im pretty sure this is a BUG in the app! I hope ustream release a 1.2 very soon, the app made it big…. I dnt think the guys at ustream dont wanna make a bad inpression to the world because of an app….
Also hugely dissapointed, why is this app without live search feature. Please fix bug and update so I can searc live feeds.
I like the idea of this app, but the “featured & popular” only is a very big minus. You can only watch puppies & kittens for so long before you turn the app off. I’ve also seen several “codec not supported” errors. What’s up with that. A bookmarking option is also a must if you ever open up to all streams.

so much for a “social” experience here… appears that no one from ustream.tv can take the time to answer the question here. Just in case it is not clear, i believe the question is: Is the iphone app just for FEATURED or POPULAR shows, or can you view any show….

How do I view my stream on iPhone? How do I get listed as “featured” or “Popular” ??? You can’t do a generic search?
