I hate to say this, but compared to the official Democrat Convention stream, this looks like absolute poo.

I am very concerned about the vulnerabilities I see reported, and have experienced firsthand in uStream and the chatrooms. I understand that with a “simple Java Script” a show’s viewer count can be manipulated.

I am also experiencing malicious viewers on my own broadcast here, Dave The Painting Guy. Last night I had the mixed blessing of being featured on the front page of uStream, thank you. The downside is that it brought with it some of the malicious scum, in particular uStreamer “cakewalk1″ who disrupted the show for the next 20 minutes with text floods. 20 minutes! I tried all the moderation tricks I could, but he kept sending floods of Pvt Messages, blocking my view of other participants, though I only asked politely that he please stop.

Is uStream doing anything to block scripts, and make broadcasting safer? It’s quite alarming what some of the malicious kids do. Filthy words, name-calling, impersonating other users with altered names… More safeguards are needed.
